The UK is considered to have a high-income economy and is categorized as very high in the Human Development Index, currently ranking 14th in the world. It was the world’s first industrialized country and the world’s foremost power during the 19th and early 20th centuries. UK Education System
Early Years Education
- It includes Voluntary Pre-Schools, Privately run Nurseries or Child Minders.
- Age 5 to 12 Years & Grade 1 to 7
- Age 11 to 16 Years & Grade 8 to 10
Once a student finishes secondary education they have the option to extend into further education to take their A-Levels, GNVQ’s, BTEC’s or other such qualifications. UK students usually plan to go to college or university to complete Further Education.
Undergraduate / Bachelor Degree [ 3 to 4 Years ]
This includes First Degrees (honors and ordinary), Enhanced First Degrees, First Degrees obtained concurrently with a Diploma.
First Degree students in Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine, interrupt their studies to complete one-year course of advanced studies in a related topic.
Few Programs are available as Sandwich Course which are 4 Years in duration and involves one year training at work place.
Postgraduate / Master Degree [ 1 to 2 Years ]
This includes Doctorate, Masters (Research and Taught), Postgraduate Diplomas and Certificates as well as Professional Qualifications which usually require a First Degree as entry qualification.
